Patema is an American progressive metal act with an interest in creating soundscapes that float between beauty and brutality. Born in the southwestern desert, the band has found its home in Denver, CO where their unique mixture of classic rock and modern progressive metal has been widely embraced.
The band is made up of three driving forces, Jaden Lueras (guitar/vocals), Jerimiah Kripakov (drums), and Luke Willenberg (bass). All three members take influence from a wide variety of artists ranging from Steven Wilson to Periphery and Pink Floyd to electronic trance and jam music. These influences make for a sonic pallet that’s always evolving and pushing toward ever greater heights.
Over the course of the band’s career, Patema has shared the stage with numerous national touring acts such as Leprous, Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), Bent Knee, and many others in the prog space. The release of their 2019 debut album “Fathom” saw the band playing bigger shows and garnered praise from fans in all corners of the world. The band is currently recording their sophomore album which will be an exciting evolution from their previous work.
